Instructions for Using the Personal Income Tax Calculator
- Input Your Annual Basic Pay: Enter your total annual basic salary, which is the fixed component of your pay.
- Input Your Annual Total Allowances: Include all allowances such as transport, housing, utility, meal, and other benefits you receive in addition to your basic pay. Provide the total annual amount.
- Input the Attributable Annual Figure for the Benefit-in-Kind (BIK): If your employer provides benefits such as a company car, subsidized housing, or other non-cash perks, enter the annual monetary value attributed to these benefits.
- Input the Annual Profit Figure from Any Side Business: If you run a side business or vocation, include the total profit earned annually. This figure should reflect your net earnings after expenses.
- Enter the Insurance Premium Paid Last Year: If you paid a life insurance premium for yourself or your spouse in the previous year, enter the total amount paid. This amount is considered for deductions under Nigerian tax law.
- Click on the Calculate Button: After entering all the required information, click the "Calculate" button. The calculator will process the inputs and provide:
- Your total taxable income
- Applicable deductions
- Your tax liability
- Any other relevant income information
